It is time for June’s store of the month! It is the lovely Town and Country Bridal Boutique, located in St. Louis, MO. The wonderful Kasey answered our questions!
How and when did you start Town and Country Bridal Boutique?
Town and Country Bridal Boutique was started in 2005 and quickly gained an incredible reputation in St. Louis as one of the best bridal shops to visit not only for bridal gowns but also graduation gowns (it’s a St. Louis thing)! Over the past 11 years, it has changed hands several times, with the most recent change being in February to us! Owning a bridal shop has been a lifelong dream of mine and I am proud to call Town and Country ours!
Describe Town and Country in four words:
Elegant, classic, unforgettable and intimate.
What is your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of owning and working at Town and Country has got to be helping all of the beautiful brides that walk through our doors, nothing can beat watching a bride find the dress she was meant to wear down the aisle. Plus who wouldn’t love playing dress up with beautiful gowns all day?
What tips would you offer to brides?
Always say yes to the champagne. At Town and Country Bridal we truly want to make your dress shopping experience special. We try to provide an intimate atmosphere and caring consultants that will give you a day you deserve.
For more boring advice – start trying on dresses early. Maybe you are that girl that buys the first dress that you put on, but you could also be someone who needs a little more time to make a decision. Wedding dresses take a minimum of 4-5 months to be ordered so start making appointments soon after you get engaged if you are doing a year long engagement. Although, we definitely offer solutions for short engagement brides – rushes and buying sample dresses can be your best friend.
What is your favourite wedding trend for 2016?
Illusion necklines and backs are so romantic and whimsical, we’re trying to add more of these characteristics to our inventory.
What is your favourite gown from the Lis Simon 2016 collection and why?
Hailey! Simply because it is so unique. The pattern of beading is so beautiful. I haven’t seen anything similar to it.
What does 2016 have in store for Town and Country?
Growth! Since taking ownership back in February we have already made a ton of updates to the business. We’ve created a brand new website, upped our social media game, given the store several facelifts, started using a new appointment booking software and picked up an amazing new designer! And the great news is there is still so much left to improve! We are loving every minute of owning this business and can’t wait to turn it into something incredible.
