This is our gorgeous Felicity gown which is also available in a beautiful blush colour. It is the ultimate romantic and whimsical gown. Delicate “brush-stroked” embroidered net overlays the soft satin. It has an elegant sweetheart neckline and a pleated bodice fitted at the waist which flows into the beautiful a-line skirt.
Our Gillian gown from the 2015 collection is a beautiful, simple and chic gown made from flowing chiffon. The v-neckline is adorned with delicate lace applique which also goes around to the back adding beautiful detailing. The figure flattering bodice flows into the gathered a-line skirt. The gown is finished off with buttons. These photos were taken by Kelsey Goodwin and the photo shoot was organised by our great boutique, Tres Chic Bridal.
Our Francesca gown from the 2014 collection is a modern and sophisticated beauty. It has a figure-flattering fitted and elongated bodice with a romantic sweetheart neckline that frames the face beautifully. It has a gorgeous tiered-ruffle satin-organza skirt and train and is finished off with glamorous pearl buttons over the zipper. The dress also comes with a bateau neckline removable lace jacket with 3/4 sleeves that adds versatility to it, making it perfect for warm or cool days. We love the photos of real bride, Eden, who wore the Francesca gown on her special day.
Lis Simon has joined on-going efforts to help victims of the Fort McMurray wildfire. Lis Simon’s response follows an emergency appeal from the Canadian Red Cross for financial assistance for those displaced by this disaster, which has led to the largest fire evacuation in Alberta’s history. The wildfires have forced 88,000 residents to seek shelter elsewhere and destroyed about 1,600 structures, according to the Alberta government.

Who can believe it is May already?! This year is flying by. May’s store of the month is Tres Chic Bridal Boutique, located in Langford, BC. We caught up with the owner, Joan, who answered our questions.
How and when did you start Tres Chic Bridal Boutique?
Since I was little, I was always around my mom designing her own wedding dress collections. After being disappointed with the options in Victoria for brides when I planned my own wedding, I knew I could make something better. I wanted to make buying a wedding dress enjoyable, stress-free and fun so Tres Chic was born.
Describe Tres Chic Bridal Boutique in four words:
Charm, elegance, style and love.
What is your favourite part of your job?
We truly love making dreams come true. When you have a bride come in and you’re able to fulfill something she has wished for since she was a little girl, it is an incredible feeling. Every time that we see that moment of realization that we have found “the one”, and seeing everyone’s reaction is something that never gets old.
What tips would you offer to brides?
When in doubt, just try it on. You never know what a dress will really look like just from the hanger. Keep an open mind and you might realise the perfect dress is something you never even considered at first glance.
What is your favourite wedding trend for 2016?
I am obsessed with 3D appliques. Just looking at our store you can see a range of styles. Whether it be lace, beads, or florals, appliques can take a dress from “ok” tp “oh, wow.”
What does 2016 have in store for Tres Chic?
Here at Tres Chic, we are really looking to expand our selection of local products. We’ve teamed up with Blossom Beach, who creates lovely lace accessories. Angela Rancher, who’s veils will leave you speechless, and a variety of other photographers, tailors, and planners to provide the best experience possible. We love local, and getting our name out into the community with these partnerships will hopefully do a lot of good for us, and the neighbourhood we live in.
