To congratulate the opening of their Vancouver location, we’ve spoken to them and asked how their story started.
WHY AND HOW DID YOU START NOVELLE BRIDAL?
After months of brainstorming, we finally shortlisted 3 names and one of which was Novella. We asked our closest friends for their opinion and while everyone loved Novella, one of my best friends suggested Novelle, plural of Novella, meaning a short novel. I was immediately in love with how soft and feminine it sounds and the meaning behind it as we share many beautiful new chapters of our brides’ love stories.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I love hearing about our brides’ love stories, their wedding day vision and ultimately finding the dress of their dreams. The moment when a bride says yes to her dress and seeing how happy that makes her feel is the most rewarding feeling!
WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU OFFER BRIDES?
Listen to your gut and don’t overthink it. The incredible feeling you get while wearing “the dress” on your wedding day stays with you for years to come.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT FAVOURITE WEDDING DRESS TREND?
I’ve always been drawn to a clean look. I am loving all the minimalistic designs on the runway this season with the incorporation of unconventional elements, such a unique neckline or a play on different fabrics.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GOWN FROM THE Lis Simon 2022 COLLECTION AND WHY?
This is such a difficult decision to choose just one but if I have to, it would be Nadine. The buttery soft satin organza fabric took my breath away when we saw it in the Chicago Bridal Market. It is the epitome of timeless elegance.
WHAT WEDDING TRENDS ARE YOU NOTICING BRIDES DOING IN YOUR AREA?
Brides are being more adventurous with their accessories and we love it! Adding bows, gloves or unique veils to truly personalize their bridal look.
ANY EXCITING NEWS OR UPCOMING EVENTS FOR NOVELLE BRIDAL?
We just hosted our Grand Opening Soiree this past week and it was a blast! For the upcoming months, we will be introducing a couple new designers and will continue celebrating our opening with feature designer trunk shows at our new location in Vancouver.
WHAT DO THE NEXT FEW MONTHS HAVE IN STORE FOR NOVELLE BRIDAL?
We are so excited to be receiving new styles from our Chicago Market Designers handpicked in August. New dresses should be coming in in the next few months and we can’t wait to share them with our brides because we know they’ll fall in love with them as much as we did!
