Alyssa + David met at the gym. She knew who she was for a long time as his friend/gym party was dating one of her friends. A friend of Alyssa’s mentioned to her that David had asked about her. He eventually sent her a message on Instagram and the rest is history – “we never went a day without talking after that!”

It was a snowy day in upstate New York when David asked Alyssa if she wanted to go to lunch with a few of his friends. They spent some time at a brewery and had a few drinks and lunch, but the entire time, she felt like something was off. “I was so anxious, but it turned out it was his anxiety rubbing off on me”. When they got home, David wanted to go on a walk, which is their normal walk near their house. At that time, he didn’t want to bring the dog, and had asked Alyssa to wear her boots (with heels), “I was so confused, but went anyway”. About halfway through the walk, there was an arbour he had built with jars, hanging all over with pictures of them in each one. It was decorated with flowers and there was a photographer to capture the moment – “it was so special”.

Alyssa knew exactly what she was looking for and once they suggested combining the 2 dresses (Kristy’s lace + Mila’s bodice) she loved the most, it was a done deal. She took the lace from the dress she loved the most, and put it onto the bodice that she loved even more. And to drama, they extended the train of the dress – “it was absolute perfection!”

“It still gives me goosebumps to even think about it.”
Alyssa + David's dream came to life at their wedding. Surrounded by 200 people whom they love the most, together with the most perfect weather, and a beautiful space to celebrate at. It was a night filled with food, drinks, and dancing! “It was so beautiful that many of the guests would take breaks to go outside and just enjoy the warm fall breeze”.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM YOUR SPECIAL DAY
Anecdotes from the bride:
Our wedding was pretty traditional so there weren’t any crazy traditions!
This might be an unpopular opinion, but our ceremony. I feel like sometimes it’s rushed or overlooked, but it’s the whole reason we were there and I loved every second of ours. It’s so exciting to be able to look out and see everyone you love. Also, our entrances into the reception were just so much fun!
PREPARATIONS & INSPIRATIONS
“I am not a person who loves bright colours or really colours at all”. Alyssa opted for natural greenery and whites. They wanted the theme to be slightly rustic with a touch of elegance. “Our wedding coordinator absolutely brought our dreams to life”.
HONEYMOON
Alyssa + David went to the Sandals resort in Grenada and she truly can’t recommend it enough to anyone. “This resort was absolutely perfect”, according to Alyssa. They met some friends who they have seen since the honeymoon and surely, “they will be lifelong friends!”
