Why and how did you start/acquire Loveliest Bridal?

When I shopped for my own wedding dress, I was disappointed with the experiences. I felt like they were often not personalized enough for such a major purchase and such a special time in my life. I visited one store out of state that did provide that care and attention and knew I wanted to offer that same level of service to east Tennessee brides. When I chose the name for my store, I was still in the process of planning my own wedding. I knew I wanted the name to be short and sweet, preferably one word. Once I thought of how I wanted to feel on my wedding day and how I wanted all of our brides to feel when they found their dresses, “Loveliest” it was.

Describe your boutique in four words.

Inviting, Relaxing, Intimate, Dreamy

What do you love most about your job?

Seeing a bride find a dress that surprises her in some way and makes her feel supremely confident!

What tips would you offer brides?

Don’t take wedding dress shopping (or wedding planning in general) too seriously. You WILL find your dress, so enjoy the experience!

Limit the number of guests you bring with you dress shopping. Let the magic be in the reveal!

What is your current favourite wedding dress trend?

All the fun sleeves! I’ve always loved a unique sleeve on my own clothes whether it be dolman, flutter, balloon, bishop, etc. so I’m excited to see the creativity flourish in that area, especially with removable options.

What is your favourite gown from the Lis Simon 2020 collection and why?

I personally tend to gravitate toward clean lines and a classic vibe, so I love those just released in the fall, especially Leone and Laval, but the Laura gown has surprised me as a favorite with its fun, whimsical vibe.

What are you hoping to see in the Lis Simon 2021 collection?

More crepe, square necklines, detailed trains, and unexpected style details.

Any exciting news or upcoming events for Loveliest Bridal?

We will have our annual Christmas tree food drive in December, where brides who donate 5+ canned food items to our tree of cans get to draw a discount card for their dress purchase! We have done this since we opened as a way to give back to our community and know that the need is even greater this year.

What do the next few months have in store for Loveliest Bridal?

This has been a tough year for us (as it has been for everyone), so we are hoping to see improvements in the pandemic and a return to the ability to host events and participate with other businesses in our new neighborhood. For now, we will continue soaking up our new space and celebrating with each of our brides in their private appointments!

A big thank you to Anna for answering our questions! Make sure to check their website, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram for daily updates about their store. Cheers to 2021 everyone!

Much love,

Your Lis Simon Team.
