For the month of June, we have chosen Jaehee Bridal Atelier as our store of the month! They have an elegant boutique located in Englewood, New Jersey where the Lis Simon collection can be found. Thanks to our dearest Eunice Lim for answering our questions!
Why and how did you start Jaehee Bridal Atelier?
I majored in an art background and have always been interested in design and high fashion. I fell in love with bridal couture and decided to open a bridal store so I could play a part in both the retail side and design side. I happen to design and sell my own dresses and veils in store as well!
Describe your boutique in four words.
Fun. Friendly. Vibrant. Exciting.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to see the brides in their dresses we helped them find on their wedding day. We love it when brides send us photos of their special day and we see how beautiful they look in their dress!
What tips would you offer the brides?
Plan ahead and avoid the stress! By starting the process as soon as you can, you can avoid having to make rushed or last minute decisions; having more time to look around and shop is always a plus!
What is your current favourite wedding dress trend?
Floral Prints! The contrast of a white wedding dress with tiny colourful flowers on it is something that looks very delicate but bold.
What is your favourite gown from the Lis Simon 2020 collection and why?
The Leighton gown! We love the way it gives a very romantic feel. The off-shoulder sleeves and delicate pattern work perfectly together!
What are you hoping to see in the Lis Simon 2021 collection?
We hope to see more interesting patterns and styles! We love how unique the dresses details are and hope to see more of it in the 2021 collection.
Any exciting news or upcoming events for Jaehee Bridal Atelier?
We’ve recently had our 25th anniversary! We’re looking forward to another year of helping brides celebrate love!
What do the next few months have in the store for Jaehee Bridal Atelier?
I’ll admit with all that had been going on with COVID-19, it has been very tough on our staff and especially tough for our brides and their families. We hope in the following months we can once again begin to help our brides on their journey to find their perfect dress with safety and the wellbeing of everyone in mind.
