Ceremony Bridal Studio

Happy Canada Day to our fellow Canadians out there! To start off the month of July, we have chosen Ceremony Bridal Studio as our Store of The Month! Their boutique is located in Barrie, Ontario, and will love to help you find your dream dress and drink “Glampagne together when you say Yes to the dress!”.

Why and how did you start/acquire Ceremony Bridal Studio?
I decided to open Ceremony Bridal Studio in the summer of 2018 when my previous career became too demanding when it came to travel and being away from my family.  Before Ceremony, I worked for an international bridal designer, and before that I had a bridal boutique in Newmarket, Ontario! So, needless to say I wasn't about to leave the industry all together :)

Describe your boutique in four words.

Comfortable. Chic. Inviting. Fresh.

What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love shopping for the latest styles and bringing them to local brides!  It gives me SO much pleasure when brides visit us and they are genuinely excited about our selection!  We put a lot of time and effort into choosing styles for them.

What tips would you offer brides?
Don't expect anything going into your appointment.  There are no "Shoulds".  Specifically, it's not true that you "should" try on 100 gowns before saying Yes, and it's not true that you or your guests "Should" cry.  Everyone reacts differently!  Also - when it comes to your budget - respect it but educate yourself first. Once you budget under a certain amount, you're really going to see a dip in quality and fit.  If you are on a tight budget, you're much better off to ask your boutique about sample sale gowns rather than sacrificing quality.

What is your current favourite wedding dress trend?
Plunging necklines!  In all of my years in this industry, this was the trend I was most excited about.  It is soooo flattering and elongating.  I cannot get enough of plunging necklines :)

What is your favourite gown from the Lis Simon 2020 collection and why?
Liam!  The low neckline, capped sleeve, modern lace and touch of sparkle is basically perfection.  I wouldn't change a thing about it!

What are you hoping to see in the Lis Simon 2021 collection?
Fun new laces!!

Any exciting news or upcoming events for Ceremony Bridal Studio?
We are currently hosting a Lis Simon spotlight, we have so many best sellers from past seasons in store for a limited time!  We have some fantastic sample sale gowns on sale right now (although they are going fast!).  We are also entering trunk show season, so be sure to join our mailing list and follow us on Instagram for all of the details on that!

What do the next few months have in store for Ceremony Bridal Studio?

We are busy getting brides their gowns and servicing those who have been waiting patiently for COVID to pass!  We could not be more excited to be open again and looking forward to a steady summer of meeting our future brides!

Thank you so much Krystal for answering our questions! We wish you happiness and good luck. Most importantly, stay safe ♡ Make sure to check out Ceremony Bridal Studio on their website, instagram, and facebook.
